game trailer script writing

Continuing on from our final major project we need to produce a working script that will explain what is happening during the trailer, to do this we held a team meeting deciding on who would do what based on the storyboard that was agreed previously.

Everyone would contribute to the final scene of the game trailer deciding what will happen as well as its production. I was put in charge of the script of Scene two which shows the aftermath from scene one and helps build up the rest of the trailer. When writing the script i had the trailer in mind in order to show as much as possible but still keeping in with the original story.

The script outlines how the scene will be presented along with what it contains, Here is the script so far

Project: digital showcase trailer

Working title: Dark shock

Settings:

Post apocalyptic landscape

Wasteland

City

Mountainside

Underground location

Characters:

Narrator

Crowd

Fade in:

Int. wasteland – Day

Narrator

One hundred years forward the few remaining survivors of the devastation live comfortably in self sustaining super cities. However some are denied access due to overpopulation

Int. mountainside - Day

The camera changes from a high overhead view to a close up to the very base of the mountain.

Narrator

These people live as close to the mountain as they can hoping to be shielded from the dangers of the outside world.

The camera now begins to move upwards showing large metallic blocks bulging from the sides of the mountain

Narrator

Others live in once abandoned city blocks built into the mountain before the super city was built; many unable to even look upon the city itself.

Camera continues to move up and finally shows the city itself moving towards the location of the next scene to introduce the character.
