To create my storyboard i used the program Photoshop CS3, it allows great control over an image and customization. In order to seperate changes and parts of an image Photoshop uses a layers system, any change on a particular layer stays on that layer so if any changes are made that dont seem to work out that particular layer can be removed. Effects can be added to that layer as well such as bevel and emboss or shadows and glows. Each of these effects are contained on that layer which can be hidden if it is getting in the way of finishing the final peice. I also used texutre brushes often in the creation of my storyboard to make it seem more original and interesting than regular colours. This was highly effective in creating buildings and backgrounds as well as adding more life to the characters.

I also downloaded a varity of fonts and brushes to use something different from the defualt set, this allowed me to change the storyboard even more and add more effects to it using different brushes to add colour and backgrounds. However before i could use any of these i had to draw the actual storyboard on paper so that editing it in photoshop would become much easier, i drew the storyboard in A3 paper using pencil and leaving it in black and white so that colouring could be done using photoshop. After this was completed used a scanner to add the image to photoshop. While i edited the image any major changes such as adding background frames, colouring over the lines of my storyboard and colouring i saved as a seperate file in case anything had gone wrong during the process.
