Box modelling a simple house

Box modelling is creating models using simple boxes. By creating 5 length, height, and width segments onto the box and turning on edged faces in perpective view.

once this is done change the box into a editable mesh by right clicking in the modify tab and selecting the editable mesh option. This can then be used to extrude the top edge and then scaling it outward to create the lower edge of the house's roof. Then by extruding it again upwards and scaling it inwards a simple roof can be created. By turning on the select back facing option it will be easier to select more polygons since you cannot select the ones behind them.

Other effects can be added such as extruding parts of the house to create windows and doors. once all the effects are complete it is best to reduce the ammount of polygons to reduce the file size of the model. this is done by moving and welding these edges with other ones. Once the poly count is reduced.
